Obsolescence: The Prologue (2009)
Directed, Shot and Edited this experimental documentary with the help of McGraw Wolfman and James Garcia (location sound). This project was for my Directing the Documentary class at SCAD (Savannah College of Art & Design) in 2009.
This project was inspired by the loss of my stepfather in August of 2009. I began to wonder about the revolving door of stuff and our relationship with change. This documentary highlights the negative loss and destruction of reckless consumption. While trying to find hope in the novelty of the new.
This documentary project would then be continued and reinvented for my senior thesis film: Obsolescence. Where as this prologue focused more on relationship with things, Obsolescence (2010) focused more on the obsolescence of ideas and ways of life.
